Visit Salt Creek Falls in Alabama inside Talladega Ranger District a beautiful cascading waterfall and a great swimming hole below it.
Salt Creek Falls – Trip Details
As one of the better cascade waterfalls in Alabama, Salt Creek Falls offers a nice waterfall with a cool swimming hole below the falls for those warm summer days. Although it may look like a fun slide down, don’t make that mistake as climbing and sliding are very dangerous given the steep rocks and unsure footing.
When you get there, look for a small gravel parking area with a small trail starting at the mound of dirt. The falls are a short walk, but the tough part is the descent to check out the pool below the falls.
Just remember before you stay too late in the afternoon, you’ll be climbing back up after a long day swimming and in the sun!
