Chewacla Falls - Trip Details
Because of its proximity to Auburn, Chewacla State Parks is a popular destination for Tiger fans. The primary natural drop is just a few yards downstream of the spillway dam of Lake Chewacla. The spillway itself, though man-made, is still pretty photogenic too.
And, it's situated in Chewacla State Park, so there is also fishing in the lake and plenty of hiking and biking trails to fill out a day trip. Or, reserve a camp site and stay a weekend. The park is especially popular for mountain biking with several man-made obstacles to supplement the natural ones.
Since it's just south of Auburn, it makes for an easy afternoon trip if you live nearby. Entry fees are per person, so they can get a little steep compared to other per vehicle park fees.
