A Guide to Wilson Dam Waterfall Near Muscle Shoals

While Wilson Dam Waterfall's name can be a bit misleading, the dam is actually on a small tributary creek at it tumbles down into the Tennessee River. The name only indicates the proximity to Wilson Dam.

Wilson Dam Waterfall - Trip Details

Wilson Dam Waterfall is located near Muscle Shoals just below Wilson Dam on the Tennessee River. Take Reservation Road and turn toward TVA’s Rockpile Recreation Area and park at the end of the parking lot and hike west through the open gate for 0.25 mi.  The waterfall itself is near the base of the dam.

In the immediate area near Muscle Shoals, Coldwater Falls is a man-made attraction at Spring Park in Tusumbia.

Further south, you can visit Rainbow Falls in Dismals Canyon along with the bio-luminescent bugs on a night tour of the canyon.
